Platforms
Web, mobile first
Petricor landing page: group orders, organized for real, with a dashboard of members, open orders, and balance.

The problem

Consumer groups buy together from small farmers, but they run on volunteer effort: spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and someone balancing the books every week. When that person burns out, the group struggles. Petricor started as the tool for a real pilot group and takes that work off the volunteers.

What I built

  • Channels per farmer, with group orders that open and close on a schedule.
  • Member orders, pickups, and issues, with AI help to resolve them.
  • Balances and transactions in integer cents, so the books always add up.
  • In-app and email notifications, plus an admin panel.

Decisions that mattered

  • Accessible for older members by default: large text, large buttons, one clear action per screen.
  • Every change to money leaves a record. Nobody has to trust anybody to know what they owe.
  • Automate before adding options: reminders, closing orders, and summaries for the farmer.

Stack

  • TanStack Start
  • Convex
  • Better Auth
  • Resend
  • Tailwind CSS
